call the New Haven police non-emergency number, 946-6316, and tell them you are calling about an abandoned vehicle, with a description of the car (make, color, that the car is lacking plates, etc.), the location of the car and how long the car has been sitting in the same spot. For some reason(?) they seem eager to tow. I called about a car on Orange St. and it was towed the same day. Thank you NHPD.
