Last night at around 2:44 am, a car struck and sheared off the signage pole in front of my house and the St. James Church on East Grand Avenue. The front bumper of the car was completely torn off and left in the road. The car did not remain there and left. The car is a gray Volkswagon and the license plate, CT AL12214, is still on the bumper. I have gathered the pieces together on the sidewalk to be picked up. There is a very jagged piece of the pole sticking out of the sidewalk, which could be a hazard for someone walking by.
I was not sure if this was a police or a city issue.

It is up to you but I would not give my address when reporting a crime because you never know who is reading these posts and how they may react. You can call See Click Fix 800 369-9060 to remove your post. In my opinion it would have been better if you called public safety 203 946-6316 to report this.
