This might be obvious but has anyone put in a call/request (you can do it right here, city seems to respond promptly) to plow your street with the city? They are of course working to get you a ride as well. If you say you need to get out have surgery they might expedite it. Nice for your neighbors too!

Good point Laura! The city uses SeeClickFix when citizens report broken stuff like Traffic Light, Signs, Streets not plowed... pretty much anything the city services. I am not sure personal request like this are handled. It would not hurt to call the Mayor's Hotline at 617-635-4500 and ask them if they can assist.
