Description

In the alley between Harrison, Hancock, Marshall, and Clay streets in the Carver neighborhood. There is a collective set of trash cans bunched together directly behind 703 North Harrison St. There are never enough trash cans to service every house and all of the apartments in the Stables. This creates a consistent trash overflow that causes much litter and debris all around the alley. It is also unsightly, terribly smelly, and attracts hoards of flies in the warm weather. These flies end up infesting our building when residents enter or open windows. Additionally, about two months ago most of the recycling bins disappeared from the conglomerate, leaving only one to service 4 or so buildings. There must be a more sanitary and efficient way to collect our waste. I'm not sure how this would be addressed, but the sanitary issues are evident.
