Description
The city of Oakland has abandoned a large pile of gravel as part of the never-ending Market St and Adeline st intersection "improvement" boondoggle project. This pile of gravel is blocking a drain to the adjacent "rain garden" and partially blocking the bike path. It has been there for many months during which time I have personally witnessed multiple citizens with pickup trucks illegally shoveling gravel into their personal vehicles on the tax payers dime! This entire project is a joke.

I tried PW today : left vms at both PW's "Report a Problem" # : (510)615-5566 and another PW # (510) 238-3961 where a real person (Nicole) answered the phone and said she was new, but she'd try to find the Go To person. The "Engineering @#$%'t" for City on this whole project is Wezlon Myles: wmyles@oaklandnet.com
Using the "formula" for City employees' emails of first initial, last name, the Dir of Public Works Jason Mitchell's email would be:

Thanks for submitting this report. I’ve also been trying to get a progress update on this project from city staff over the past number of months, as it has been in construction for over a year now. The only info I have been able to acquire so far is that there are a number of change orders from the original plan that have been submitted to the contractor, and staff is waiting for them to respond before work continues. There is no timeline currently available.
