There has been a dramatic increase in extremely loud music with pounding bass from passing cars on W. Evergreen Ave. I can hear this noise from my apartment which faces Evergreen Ave from 7am through 1230am and my apartment sits back about 60 feet from the street, and I have double glazed windows. Someone passed my apartment at 1235am last night and the windows rattled. This behavior is clearly a violation of city ordinance #050749 "Noise and Excessive Vibration" which was signed by Mayor John F. Street on 1/24/2006. I noticed this intrusive and annoying phenomenon in February 2013 and reported it to the 14th Police District. The police did their job and stopped this noise but it has resumed with a vengeance. Again the problem was reported yesterday to the 14th Police District. Hopefully law enforcement will put an end to this quickly.
