说明
This is a request for a change to the traffic light at the intersection of Ashford Dunwoody Rd and Oak Forest Dr.
When heading south and turning left onto Oak Forest, there is a left turn lane but no left turn arrow.
The traffic heading north on Ashford Dunwoody towards perimeter mall is often very heavy and potentially dangerous.
On the other side heading north there is no left turn lane onto Perimeter Summit parkway and sometimes drivers attempting to turn left onto Perimeter Summit parkway create a turning lane by moving towards the center. This also creates a dangerous situation because drivers will attempt to pass them on the right with limited visibility.
Please consider making a change to these traffic lights at the intersection of Ashford Dunwoody Rd and Oak Forest Dr/Perimeter Summit Parkway.

The City is already in discussions with PCID and GDOT about implementing these changes. The signal at this location is part of a Joint program between GDOT, PCID, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, and Brookhaven/DeKalb CO known as PTOP which provides for signal upgrade, timing, and coordination in the Perimeter CID area. We are at the early stages of this project and will provide and update on the timetable for implementation soon.

Sorry for the delay in giving an update on this issue. We have been working with PCID and GDOT to get the turn lane and turn arrows installed under the PTOP program. Last week the PTOP committee gave final approval to the 2014 program budget which included this project. We expect the work to be done on this sometime this summer.
Thanks
