Description
Before the city starts congratulating itself on clearing the streets, the administration and residents alike should ask themselves, "At what cost?" At intersection after intersection, 8-12 foot high mounds of snow are piled up at crosswalks and intersections, obstructing the ability of pedestrians to safely navigate the sidewalks (presuming the sidewalks are cleared, which in many cases are not). The message this ciy's administration routinely sends to pedestirans is this: YOU DON'T MATTER. Pedestrians are the sacrificial lambs as we bow to the almighty automobile.

Now you can't even walk anywhere without dodging aggressive, irate, entitled car drivers.

And what's going on at the corner of Campbell and Elm? Burger King's sidewalks are uncleared, as is the stretch in front of the Ward-Heitman house. Sidewalks are obstructed on Campbell between Elm and the 95 overpass, if not beyond. Unacceptable, given the large number of people who walk on Campbell and around downtown.
Let PW workers clear the sidewalks and then bill the businesses and property owners.
