City Hall – DR assigned this issue to Public Works - BD (Streets & Sewers)

I took this picture this morning before I left for work. This is on the corner of Upland and Richdale. It is very frustrating to see this after digging out the sidewalks and handicap ramp THREE TIMES last night only to have this done this morning. The firefighters dug out the hydrants last night too. I hope the city does NOT fine any of the houses for not clearing their sidewalks/ramps/hydrants in this neighborhood. We should all be working together.

Wait so the plows are actually *putting snow* on the ramps? That's ridiculous. And of course every ticket I open here saying "this city-maintained crosswalk ramp is blocked" gets closed. Certainly demonstrates the priorities aptly! Pedestrians need not apply.

Be a good neighbor help the plow drivers out. and shovel it again. we do it all the time. city doing a great job keeping our streets safe and ckear for emergency vehicles and such.

We already dug it out again before we left for work. :) I understand that the plows need to tighten up the corners to make it safe for drivers. But the city should be aware as people are quick to blame the residents for not clearing the sidewalks/ramps/hydrants.

We understand there are locations where bus stops, sidewalks, streets, and bike lanes require further attention, and with the amount of accumulated snow and extreme cold temperatures this weekend, there may be areas that can’t be addressed until warmer weather returns next week. We all have a shared responsibility for safety, and over the next few days we ask that all users remember to share the roadway, go slow, and use extra caution to be aware of pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles.
