That is NOT what the city ordinance says. It requires clearance within 24 hours of accumulation. Further delays threaten the ability of disabled residents to access city sidewalks. It is no coincidence that the ordinance requires clearance to a width of 36 inches, the same minimum walkway width under the ADA. Prompt enforcement of the ordinance is essential to ensuring the rights of access of the disabled. Please review the ordinance. Thank you.
