Oneida has one of the only paid departments around, with some of the newest equipment but yet it has rust and looks unkept. I am not sure if anyone else noticed the sad shape of the trucks in the parade this year as compared to the neighboring volunteer trucks. The rust on the wheel wells, paint chips, and general appearance issues should not be present on these very expensive trucks. If it was your business or your own vehicle it would never be unattended to rust out. Maintain the equipment you have as we can't afford to replace!
