If this item affects the neighborhood/street appeal, then I don't see any reason why this individual can't report it.

Because it doesn't matter what other people think of oher's property, it is none of their business.

I think Drexilhillwatch is the owner. and YES!!! you can report it to the local code enforcer and he will take care of this. There are code standards for a reason you know. If you all go to sell your house someday, the selling price could be affected because some people don't keep their property up to code. Let the code enforcer do the job, and don't give up. Complain, Complain, Complain. Most townships have codes against this type of neglect, even though they don't like to enforce them. Like Prospect Park!!! Has anyone noticed it's always the "haves" vs. the "have-nots"?

I walk past the house everyday when I walk my dog. I see the condition of the siding as well as the window frames and I feel bad...it reminds me of my parents' old rowhome in South Philly because during their 20+ year ownership, they didn't update anything...it was all the same mouldings and exterior as when it was bought in the 70's. and it was because they didn't have the $$$ to fix anything. I say if it's their primary home, it's their business...and someone from here should make an effort to get to know them...

Good point....Maybe it's a lack of money or man-power, and not will-power! We are rapidly becoming a society of paupers. Many of our county's residents worked a lifetime to afford home-ownership, IE: The American Dream. Years later, lose your home because you simply can't keep up with taxation or repairs. I've chatted with more than a few homeowners who need some assistance, some too proud to ask. Pride's a funny thing that we never outgrow...And ANYONE can fall on hard times.

If you can't maintain the property you need to find other alternatives. The Real Estate market is making some what of a comeback. Your misfortune should not be everyone elses. Face it you just can't afford to live in that neihborhood. Sorry just the facts.

Call UD L&I if issue is still open to get it fixed. Continued complaining here will not SOLVE the issue.
