Description

This is a picture of the handicap spot in front of Toad's on York Street . Between this spot not being shoveled out as well as the handicap spot I already reported on Chapel Street off of York, it's quite obvious that the City of New Haven doesn't give a crap about any disabled person that has to come into downtown after it snows if I can figure out a way to sue the city for lack of services I will be doing it. And once again I challenge, I dare and I demand an answer from somebody in City Hall or the head of Public Works to explain to me why these situations happen everytime it snows. For a disabled person, it doesn't matter if it snows half an inch or a foot or more. The City of New Haven doesn't care one iota about anybody who's disabled. The absolute lack of handicap Spaces by itself is testament to that. Now this year after year problem of not clearing out handicap spaces after any type of snow has gotten out of hand. Maybe next time I'll put my car 3 feet away from the edge of the snow and block a lane so I can safely get out of my car. And if one of the meter maids (yes, no matter what name you call them they are still meter maids) gives me a ticket, I will gladly take the City to court with my pictures and have a judge determine whether or not the City is doing their responsibilities. With my knowledge of the law, I feel strongly that the city will be held accountable.
