If you are making a left onto the Pike anywhere west of Eagle Road, you CAN'T get into the far right lane to get on the first ramp, at least not without cutting someone off and risking an accident or road rage. The only way onto northbound 476 was the second slip ramp, and since the only traffic using that ramp is the infrequent green arrow left turning east bound traffic, it was a perfect pressure relief valve for the WB traffic getting on. Now if you can't find a hole to get in the right hand lane you have to continue up the pike and make a dangerous U-turn and join the already long line from eastbound traffic making a left to get on 476 north, you just shot yourself in the foot.

the line eastbound is never long. I used to live that way. Now I come westbound and it is impossible. I sit there for 10-15 minutes every day. It is not a danger to anyone to continue up to the eastbound entrance and make a right there. Stop complaining for no reason. It's not like it makes your wait longer.

@getalife Actually it does make the people doing the right thing wait longer. think about it a minute. drivers like you are what make our commutes hell!

As I said on the other post, just pay the $50 fine if they ticket you. Driving is about being safe; NOT BEING LEGAL. The secondary ramp is very important to keep drivers safe and keeping traffic moving going west on the Pike.

Hint: If they ticket you, fight the ticket. Illegal right turns are some of the easiest to cases to win. The court may even offer you a deal of no points but have to pay the ticket.

Also suggest e-mail this complaint to John Roman. Perhaps he can get the no turn sign removed and make this intersection much safer.

I love the phrase "rude and dangerous" from the loser that opened this string. What's rude and dangerous is 3 lanes on the westbound pike traffic merging into 1 at Lawrence. It is dangerous and deadly. Get a life. Remove the no turn right turn sign and get this highway safer!

Its very dangerous, while traveling Westbound, to try and get into the far Right lane to get onto the first ramp. The second ramp was a Godsend, it did not impede east bound traffic that makes a left to get north on 476 and kept me from having to do the u-turn thing mentioned above, now I have to take my life in my hands every morning making a U turn on Route 3 during rush hour to avoid doing something illegal, that used to be legal a month ago. Silly!

Problem is fixed, unfortunatly. A no turn sign was put up, making the roads more dangerous. The other comment about the removal of the sign superseeds the ridiculous, meanless complain for an uniformed driver.
