Thank you for reporting your concern, and we are sorry about the frustrating road conditions you’ve experienced. Plattsburgh Avenue is scheduled for repaving during the Spring 2018 construction season. While it was initially scheduled for late 2017, the rainy start to summer delayed parts of our construction schedule. Recently, the extended frigid conditions followed by a spring-like thaw has contributed significantly to deteriorating road conditions at Plattsburgh Ave, and other important roadways. We have had crews out on multiple days, and will continue to do so – as weather allows. Improving this and other roads is a priority of Public Works.

Honestly, this road has been in bad shape for years, DPW has been aware of this road's condition for years, and failed the citizens of the New North End again. All I hear are excuses for DPW's mismanagement. THE CITIZENS OF BURLINGTON DESERVE BETTER.

This issue shall be brought up on the campaign trail for Mayor as it is not one of the shining spots of the administration.

I just reported this too and then saw that this had already been posted, so thank you Dale. DPW: can't the potholes at least be filled as a temporary fix to save our cars?

How Come you guys don’t except criticism

"no time to help cars"

Funny, the vast bulk of the streets budget goes towards motoring infrastructure despite the fact that 30+% of Burlingtonians get to work by means other than private motor vehicle.

That may be true, but the residents who do not drive a personal vehicle rely on Taxi's, Busses, friends, and some on bicycle, ALL of which use the road!

Plattsburgh Ave has been repaved, we thank you for your patience through this disturbance. The Department of Public Works has resolved this request. Thanks for helping to keep Burlington a great place to live and work.

I started this campaign to fix Plattsburgh Ave. last year in early May as it was a horrible way to greet patrons coming to the city for the marathon and and a horrible way to say good bye to them as they left.Got promised it would be fixed then the excuses started to come in. Too much rain etc. Sad excuses as the work that took place recently took all of only a couple days to complete. While I am glad the issue has somewhat been resolved it is complete mismanagement that the issue was not resolved 10 months ago. 12 months of many reporting this mess and it took two days to fix it. I guess we really in the NNE are not a priority. Time for a change at the top of DPW. Mr Mayor and Councillors are you listening?
