The traffic signal at this intersection needs to be fixed for the safety of both motorists and pedestrians.

Pedestrians: there is barely enough time to cross El Camino Real at this intersection unless you arrive exactly when the light changes. If you miss the opportunity to cross, you have to wait almost two minutes for the light to cycle.

Drivers: This intersection desperately needs a designated left turn signal. There is not enough time to safely make a left turn from ECR onto El Cerito, especially during times of heavy traffic. My husband was almost hit yesterday while trying to make the left. We have no other options for getting to our house from southern points on ECR. A neighbor's car was totaled the other day at this intersection. There is not enough time to safely cross two lanes of oncoming traffic, especially when the oncoming cars are gunning to make the green light. It is only a matter of time until a motorist or pedestrian is killed at this intersection.
