Description
2nd incident in as many storms. Last storm about a week after it was reported that a plow was speedin down Broad st. at 3 am. Today, 1/17 during the evening a plow ripped through again. The photo uploaded is from the last storm. This was done about a week after. The force the snow had to be pushed covering the sidewalks shows how fast they are going.
I don't know if this is the same person or if this is a new policy to make up for not employing many plows during a storm. 5-6 inches of snow should not be this hard. I worry that they are going to do some serious damage or worse yet hurts somebody. Also, when this stuff happens days or a week after a storm the walks that were cleared off are no longer safe for pedestrians. In some cases owners have paid to have the snow removed and wind up with a mess worse than the original as happened during the last storm. Someone could get hurt shoveling the heavy snow and ice such as what was deposited right up to the porches during the last storm.
If something happens the city has been notified at least twice just on this issue. These pedestrian areas are not the northway. I have seen plows go slower on the northway as a fact. Been here for years and have not seen this kind of behavior. Albany people deserve better.
