Thanks for reporting! On the water side of the wall there are multiple patches of corroding reinforcement reaching as far as 4’ in length. This reinforcement need to be replaced, all the spalled concrete chipped out and replaced.

This was reported over a year ago and then 31 days ago with no action.
If this is not fixed soon it will become very expensive to repair in the long run. There is an added concern with the increase in King Tides, sea level rise and potential damage from storms.
With the city’s neglect, there is potential for private property damage in the future unless some preventive measures are taken.

I wonder why the city's risk manager, city attorney, city manager or assistant city manager do not read SeeClickFix to notice issues of great expense, and potential liability, that can be prevented with a little proper management now.

It sounds like this issue has been downgraded Is that true? The Raven's Cove Homeowners Association and many individual members are extremely concerned about the deterioration of the wall. This is not just a complaint, this is a serious issue that needs a resolution.

Ravens Cove HOA will research this in what records we have, but I have lived in this area for over 60 years and the sea wall existed back then even before Ravens Cove ( built approx. 1972) was developed. The wall existed next to an empty field for years.

It has been 3 months since this was assigned as a work order but nothing has been done as of today. When can we expect to see progress on this very important issue? The integrity of the sea wall is important to the Ravens Cove community as winter and rising water levels are coming soon.

Any updates on this? It’s almost a year later now.

The City pushed this issue around from department to department and unfortunately has been pretty much been dropped and/or ignored despite repeated requests for action.
