This complaint has been open since 1/23/18. No one in the municipal confines has looked at this. Has anyone spoken to the alder in this district or actually spoken to a municipal department.? Not all departments monitor SCF You need to get this on someone's radar
Wow, 9 months does seem like a long time for a reported issue to remain ignored.
This reported issue is in one of our city’s parks. The person who monitors SeeClickFix tickets for New Haven Parks is the Director of New Haven Parks, Recreation & Trees. Her name is Ms. Rebecca Bombero.
Unfortunately, the category selected for this issue is “Other - city responsibility". It appears Ms. Bombero still does not have the right search skills to find tickets which are created in this category, but are for issues in New Haven Parks. She has posted comments confirming the difficulty she is experiencing finding tickets assigned to this category. One of her posted comments in issue https://seeclickfix.com/issues/3777673 is as follows:
“Sorry, issues reported as other city responsibility often are not seen by staff.”
I have offered assistance to help her find all tickets which remain neglected, but my offers have been ignored. I have also advised her who to contact to receive tutorials on how to best utilize SeeClickFix. It does not appear she has followed my advice.
If you would like to contact her to let her know about the issue reported in this ticket or any of the other reported issues for New Haven Parks, her contact information is as follows:
Why would anyone need to get a photo of the vehicle? No investigative processes are required. The folks who work in the park are driving through it. The only thing that needs to be done is for the Park Rangers, Dan Barvir or Wray Williams to tell their employees to stop driving through the park. This is a no-brainer. How has this issue existed for more than 2 years?
It would also be nice if the people who play soccer in the park on Sunday morning would put the trash barrels back after they use them as goals. Having many of the barrels clustered in one spot contributes to littering I'm sure.
As city trucks continue to take this shortcut rather than driving to the actual park entrance on Livingston, maybe it's time to add a short length of low, attractive fence from the corner through the section where trucks enter. It could be low enough to simply step over, like along Livingston.
FERP finally had to handle the problem themselves, but now there is a beautiful new matching fence made from wood. It looks great and does the job of preventing trucks from entering. Problem solved in less than 4 years!
