Description

Parking spaces were recently added on Eld Street across from 4 Eld Street and next to the side of St. Stanislaus Church. A parking space was painted directly in front of the handicapped accessible curb which is supposed to allow access to the handicapped ramp of the church. Church ramp is inaccessible from the handicapped space (marked by a sign), Cars consistently park in front of the accessible curb. This only became a problem when the parking space lines were added on this street. Previously People used to park in front of or behind the accessible ramp leaving approximately 6-8 feet to access the sidewalk. Many older churchgoers rely on this curb access and are in wheelchairs. We are one of the families experiencing this impossible situation.
