Thank you for reporting! Public Works has an illegal dumping team whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. On average this team removes 1,200 pounds of trash from public property every day. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.

Well i reported it to you, heres the picture you tell the police, you work for the city and im sure they well listen to you alot quicker than they would me! The police station is right next door, walk over and tell them! None of this is ever going to happen! And the blight and garbage and homelessness and filth goes on! Maybe you can"re-investigate" as this seems to be the citys answer while the garbage piles up!

All right again, let’s be a real City and own this problem. Do you think Caltrans would be upset if the city of Vallejo just continued with their garbage pick up program through the entire city including Caltrans right of ways. Doesn’t it just make sense? Are you and i and a select few others the only people that could give a rats arse about this blight that is engulfing the city of vallejo? It would seem that way, i caught this man dumping garbage the other day and he was right back at it today. He goes on the other side of the road and lives in the tules, his carts are up against the guardrail as i wright this! Thanks Artsem for backing this out of control problem! The city isnt smart enough to handle this problem or it would have been addressed and fixed along time ago!

No I don’t think it’s just you and I care, but who has all the time available required to just follow up on these things? Assuming I have the night off I will attend the next city council meeting and I will speak about - the 5th St., Superfund site, 16 Kentucky St., Caltrans right-of-way and the inability to clean those. And let’s not forget the total lack of enforcement on illegal dumpers. Code Enforcement, city manager, grounds maintenance crew, are you all listening? I’m starting to get so steaming mad that my comments are going to start coming off like Batman‘s, and then I’ll be censored from SeeClickFix.

It just takes word of mouth getting our neighbors involved. I've had police involved and they just brush of theses issues likes it's not a big deal. I feel like the NWA in the movie "Hot Fuzz" we didn't correct these issues when they were small now we're up to our eyeballs with jugglers. When been having the same growing issue on and around Lewis Brown road now word has been getting around for dumpers and everyone to come park and sideshows. I've complained to every division at Vallejo city and VPD. I live in Santa Rosa but we can still make a difference just keep the pressure up and tell Vallejo to vote for people that care real locals that are about something.

I would hope that at least one city council member would address this problem in Vallejo! I have yet to see one person from the city of Vallejo to respond, besides Robert L, on the this major problem! All we the people get is the 1200 pounds of litter they pick up a day, just say thank you, where re-investigating and so on and so on! They clean up the sites we click fix and they think we will be appeased, well where NOT!!!! There are still ILLEGAL encampments, garbage on private properties, and just more lip service from the city! Like i said in the past, one cleanup crew is insufficient, every city owned work truck needs to take the initiative and pick up trash when they see it, and not wait until they get a click fix work order on it. Code enforcement is NOT doing there job! The city needs to hire a independent clean up business to clean up this town! Stop wasting our money on frivolous programs that mean nothing to the people of Vallejo! This is getting old reporting dump sites, encampments, homeless camping and so on, and little to nothing being done about it! Im ready to give up and let them have it!

Please don't give up! Although I feel the same and I live in Sonoma county I still come down and report/watch for viloators. If anything it takes consistent communication directly with the city workers. The unfortunate squeaky wheel(s)

Spoke with the city manager’s office yesterday 1-25 and they compelled me to write an email which I sent off today. Hopefully, as I urged in the email, they will make some sort of official statement as to the status of how they will enforce City code of illegal dumping. And how to resolve the Caltrans right-of-way problem where the grounds crew is not responsible for Sonoma Boulevard. When I called the City manager’s assistant she said “Gee, we were just having a conversation about that”.....

Arstem that's exactly what we need momentum and discussion. Too often we get the run around in Solano county brushing off the community. Let's not be silent and take our dity back.

Just drove by this dump site and there were four gentleman trying to clean it up. They are not from the city, they live around there and said no one cares at City Hall about the problem and that they were taking care of as much as they could. They had already filled the back of their pick up with massive amounts of concrete. I don’t know how much they can remove on their own, but it least they are trying. I noticed that the clothing and shoe donation box that was on that location is now removed. This might help ease the problem at that location.

Well they should go down to to city hall and demand a pay check for there effort, at least we would know where our tax moneys going, citizens stepping up! I would caution anyone doing this do to hazardous waste such as needles , human waste and whatever else these squatters and homeless leave behind. The last clean up crew that cleaned up this area where wearing full blown hazmat gear. Extremely dangerous and unhealthy! I feel as though this click fix sight has become a forum sight for concerned citizens, keep it coming, maybe the city will catch on and see that this a crisis in this town!
