Description
I have lived off and on in Vallejo for 20 years and I have seen the uptick in how fast people are driving. I live off of busy Sacramento and I tell you that no one abides by the speed limit of 30 miles per hour. Kids from Vallejo high often walk across the street and have to run for not getting hit by speeders. Drivers treat Sacramento street like a drag race, speed race way and all of the above. A patrolman only has to sit in Sacramento Street to see what I am speaking of.

Work orders for striping changes from Tennessee Street to Redwood Street are being prepared and will be submitted for approval, the striping will better identify lane widths which typically reduces speeds.
Another request for additional enforcement has also been forwarded to Police Traffic Section.

Well nothing has improved, still no increased traffic enforcement, no speed trap and no response.
Requesting additional enforcement? Right.

Will continue to request speed enforcement with Police Traffic Section.
Sacramento St is being studied to have additional striping work done to reduce the number of lanes from 4 to 2 (with a center turn lane, bike lanes, and parking will remain as existing).
