The death toll by vehicle of pedestrians is 4 sicne Janurary 1st. I realize that enforcing the traffic laws is not a "revenue source" for the city but I would like some of my tax dollars to go towards slowing down the speeders and scofflaws who run red lights and stop signs and yawp on their cell phones blatantly. If the police cannot do any better of a job than this and I see them , themselves participating in the speeding, perhaps they should just resign and we can institute anarchy in Vallejo. We damn near have that now!

My observation is that there is absolutely no traffic enforcement in this town. No need to stop at stop signs or even wait for the light to turn green, people do this blatantly with no fear of being caught. Been seeing the same vehicles for years with paper dealer plates instead of actual license plate.

It has become horrible. Please restart the old speed trap that was common on Sacramento St., it had far reaching success.

I live on Sacramento st and all this is true and an extreme safety hazard for all citizens

There are comments here from Feb through May, is this being treated as active? The traffic on Sacramento continues to be hazardous, we are not seeing any change for the better.

Work orders for striping changes from Tennessee Street to Redwood Street are being prepared and will be submitted for approval, the striping will better identify lane widths which typically reduces speeds.

Another request for additional enforcement has also been forwarded to Police Traffic Section.

Please improve the traffic calming measures on this street. Traffic has not slowed, and the neighborhood is full of children and elders.

Sacramento St is being studied to have additional striping work done to reduce the number of lanes from 4 to 2 (with a center turn lane, bike lanes, and parking will remain as existing).

2 years later...., closing issue.
