Unfortunately this was approved by the Board of Aldermen and we were all asleep. Chapel West does not approve of this at all. We plan to pay for and buy this advertising space and convert it to a public purpose at our district taxpayer's expense. The City cannot help us now as they gave this right away via a contract in order to get free bike racks for the bike rental purveyors.

Closing this out now as the contract with the operator that allowed this has lapsed. Any new contract would be reviewed again by the Board of Alders. Note, the ad space is currently being repurposed for public use or public private partnerships such as COVID messaging or the City sponsored Resteraruant Weeks.
