This is just basic maintenance. The paddle needs to be replaced. It sends the wrong message about being a pedestrian in Alameda. The City Council has directed staff to improve pedestrian safety conditions in Alameda. When will this simple repair be made?

gerstle maybe pw can't respond becasuse you overwhelm them with complaints. i would suggest you create a priority list for your complaints so city staff knows where to best accomadate you. i count 24 complaints you have filed just since march 1

I have seen that Public Works is quite good at deciding what is the highest priority for each type of maintenance or repair. I'm kind of amazed at how fast PW repairs signs, causes ACI to pick up illegal dumping, inspects, treats and replaces trees, fillets sidewalks, addresses Clean Water issues, and all the rest. I like the way PW knows their priorities for each type of issue, states the usual time period for each, and often beats it. PW doesn't seem to be offended by a reminder that the usual time has been exceeded. Gerstle is doing a great job working for the city of Alameda, listing the issues and keeping on top of them.
