Let's not forget using the tracks for eliminating as well. It's unacceptable....

I have been commenting and sending click fixes on this sight for over a month! The city is not responsible for the railroad tracks so they have told me. They have told me that they have contacted the rail road company and will have a private contractor start cleaning up the tracks and surrounding areas belonging to them sometime in the next 2 weeks. As far as the homeless camps that established on the tracks, such as the one on florida street, i think this is going to be a problem. In my opinion the COV has let this problem of homeless camps, squatters and garbage get out of hand! If they would have started fining the property owners that these encampment s are situated from the beginning they would not have compounded into what they are now. Typical city hall do nothing effort until the people stand up and complain! Keep complaining and sending click fix photos and sights of abuse in to the city! Maybe they will get off there high horse and do something!

I think it may be time to contact the news media. If the City doesn't give a crap that this is basically a health hazard, then they should be reported. Most certainly this is attracting rats and mice which can carry disease.

This has been reported to Erin Hannigans office, th e Mayors office & it was suggested we contact our Representative in Congress. Mike Thompson. Pressure folks, We are the Taxpayers the People!!

All aboard! Let’s keep hitting them with what we want done here. You have to act beyond SCF. Follow up on your issues, don’t let them slip through the cracks anymore, giving us the same cut and paste answers when it sometimes requires more effort.

Fully agree, last year when the camp first started on Florida at the rr tracks people reported it, now it has grown so that I have the privilege of seeing it daily when I walk to my car in front, along with everyone else on the block/area. Clearly is seen as acceptable and grown, along with the one near Kaiser.
Boot them out, they no more have the right to live there and trash the surrounding area than if they camp in the middle of the street.
It's not fair to us taxpayers.

Once again batman gets flagged, city cant handle the truth. Im trying to flood the city with as many bad garbage sights, homeless camps, people living in cars, motor-homes and wherever else they can squat! Its become a blatant eyesore in this town and the city hall can not give us an answer on how there going to fix it. I pounded them on the railroad tracks, they said they contacted them and they have a private contractor coming to clean up the tracks, believe it when i see it, i pounded them on the property on sonoma blvd and actually gave them the name of the property owner, they say they contacted them and even fined them, that still doesnt clean up the property! All talk, no action! Just alot of lip service to appease us!!!!!!! Keep flooding them with comments and maybe they will get the hint! William, the flag could be from another user, but most likely not. The City is so full of bureaucracy it stinks. A health hazard is a health hazard, plain and simple and if the City does not wantmto acknowledge and clean it up then perhaps it should be reported to the Health Department. Oakland seems to manage to get media coverage of their dumping/health hazards, why not Vallejo?

We could protest @ City Hall & see about coverage!

They finally let batman comment! And i agree with him, the homeless encampments will continue, the city doesnt have the intestinal fortitude to do a dang thing about it! To them its out of sight, there sight, out of mind! Typical COV thinking. Could careless what us tax paying citizens, who pay there wages, think! Sickening!

Here is an idea! I will clean up this garbage site and will bill the city! Yes or no? Your paying city employees to drive around look at these sights with none of them being cleaned up! Pay me and i will clean them up, though, isnt that why i pay taxes in this town? Over a month now since i, and other people have commented on this pitiful sight! What about enterprise way, garbage still there, reported it almost a week ago, you closed the issue , but the garbage is still there! Might as well pay me for that one too!

Over 2 months now!! Come on Supervisors, Mayor, Thompson address this problem, have it cleaned up checked every month,, Stop this filthy practice!! Earn your salaries!!

Are we waiting til xmas to see this site cleaned up?? Seems so..I see where 3 individuals want to run again for city council..ha ha!! I wouldn't vote for any of them!! Boycott them all!! They could care less about Vallejo!!

City's response is its the railroads problem, the rail road could care less, they dont live here!! The city cant step up and clean up the mess for some unknown reason! So the mess sits and compounds everyday! Way to to go COV, showing some our brighter scenery in Vallejo! 1 million plus in "extras" for landscaping since 2014, not to mention the allotted amount,where did that money go? Surely not around town! Sorry Kaiser! Your dealing with inept people down at city hall!

Thank you for reporting! The railroad company is currently working with the Code Enforcement/Community Services Division on determining a more permanent solution to this ongoing issue. As a result of their meeting earlier this month, the railroad company will commence with cleaning up its tracks within city limits next week.
