Hi, thanks for the clarifications. It's so very decent of you to provide the basic needs for this caged dog, who is — in case it isn't clear — caged all day long, and barking to the point he's disturbing the neighbors. You're a real humanitarian!

You can give me a hard time for taking the picture, but you're the one who needs to question your motivations. It is WRONG to have a dog in a cage for that many hours, and it's WRONG to allow him to bark for so long. That dog relies on you and probably loves you, and he doesn't know any better. We do. Stop peddling his reproductive potential, and let him run around in a proper yard and interact with people, like God intended. Oh yeah, maybe you should get him neutered, too, so there are fewer dogs euthanized in the future.

Any breeder worth anything would not drive around with a dog in their truck under a for sale sign like they are selling knock-off designer purses! it is summer, it is HOT! dogs feel the heat! the dog should be inside in a controlled environment. it is immoral to run a shoddy breeding operation in which animals are treated poorly, just so you can make a quick buck.

After reading these post,this is a outrage,#1 Anyone that knows about dogs,clearly knows that this is not a Pitt,This is a NKC reg American Bulldog That is a show dog.Now what is wrong with traveling with your dog?He is kept in a kennel for a few hours, and your are saying that is cruel.
Did this dog have food?DidThis dog have water?Did this dog have shelter while in his kennel?The answer to all these questions is YES.If you think that is cruel have you ever gone to a Dog show?People travel with there dogs to shows ranging from 6-18 hour drive,these dogs are in trailers or dog trailers,if there in a trailer by law you can not have the air running due to the fumes,dont you thin these dogs are hot,and there in dog crates,what about at the dog shows,these dogs are competing in the show ring in all kinds of temps.It gets very hot out there,and the sun just beating on you,and in the show ring from 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on who his judging and how many dogs are in the ring.These dogs are also crated all weekend long due to the show.So now let me ask you is this cruel??I dont think so.The problem is ,that you are ingnorant to dogs.Now I will tell you what is humane is when you see a dog tied up all day no shelter .no food ,no water,and the dog isnt even socialized,or when you see a dog hurt and the owner does nothing.
Now as far has you saying about this dog barking,do you know about a American Bulldog if you did you would no that this is normal,American Bulldogs are awesome dogs with a wonderful temperment,however they are very protective of there family so acoarse there going to bark when they dont know you ,and that goes with alot of breeds,but based upon your story I know you def,do not have any knowledge of dogs what so ever.I believe you need to do some research before you falsely accuse people of animal cruelty,this is by no way any act of cruelty.

I don't care if he's a Pit or a Poodle or an American Bulldog (which, to me, looks an AWFUL lot like a one-off from a pitbull, maybe his parents were English Bull and Pit? But, like I said, who cares what kind of dog he is). Also, people who show animals are weird. People who keep their dogs in cages all day long, whether or not it's normal for show dogs, are mean. He's a living creature who doesn't belong in a cage. Yet, he sits in a cage all day, barking. Maybe this is normal in your world, but it's not normal in ours. Yep, dogs bark. I understand that. That's part of the reason why people keep dogs. But the difference is that everyone else keeps their dog at home where they may occasionally bark, instead of bringing them to other neighborhoods in cages, where they don't live, and bark. Keep your dog at home. He can bark all he wants there, where he can also be a fancy unique American Bulldog. Be outraged all you want. Keep your dog at home.

People are so ignorant. It is very ovious that you don't even own a dog. This particular dog was owned by someone that couldn't house him anymore as a puppy. And this young man took him in. The dog didn't even have no weight on him. Trust & believe these dogs are well taken care of & anyone who knows him knows this. Those dogs are treated like children. It is not cruel to ride him on his truck, the dog has water, food, and a damn carpet with a curtain lol. I thought that dog had the life, he's spoiled. And he is not for sale, puppies were for sale. Yall so busy worried about this dog which is very well taken care of when you got people yea humans that need to be in cages for the violent acts on the street. So if u wanna clean up Trenton start with fixing the damn pot holes tearing up our cars, all the killings, and other bs going on. Ur just miserable and if u had a job like real people u wouldn't b home waiting to hear if the dog gonna bark today or not. American Bulldogs are nothing even compared to Pit Bulls, they are show dogs. This dog is also apart of a registered kennel yea Registered, but I'm sure u don't even know what that means, he's not a back alley street dog, or some rescue. Show dogs are to b shown and thats what he is doing being shown. He lives indoors and has a excellent bill of health. He is not a fighting dog, nor being abused like the dog peanut. Worry about them. You need to Google American Bull dog in Wikapedia. Get some knowledge anout the breed. The american bull dog is a working breed of dog. The dog is much happier and healthier going to a job site daily with his master rather then being home eating and laying around all day.
I wonder are you a dog owner, in states such as Texas dogs are transported by contractors in this manner all the time. I really suggest you do some research on this breed of dog, which I happen to know personally, dog and owner. Also every dog in the Trenton area is not a PITBULL!!

Maybe he's not doing anything wrong in your world, but a couple of interesting things jump out at me. 1) word on the street is that he hasn't been in the neighborhood in question in the last week, at least not with his poor dog, so maybe in his heart, Dog In The Cage In The Back Of His Truck Guy knew he was wrong; and 2) 35 people who saw this article want the situation fixed (and recommendations to watch this page were sent to Animal Control and the police).

Hi there. First, I just want to say I am sorry to have offended you all. Also, I appreciate your loyalty to your friend with the dog in the back of his truck, in a cage. I'm hoping we might be able to talk to one another more civilly, and if you could, even for a minute, step into my shoes. My inactive, nothing-better-to-do but complain about your friend with the dog in the back of the truck. Please try to see things my way, for even just a second, for the sake of neighborliness and civility.

To make it the issue simpler, for just a moment, let's forget there's a living creature caged in the back of the truck. Let's just pretend it's a noisy piece of machinery that is really not necessary to accomplish a particular task in the back of the truck. Like, a loud radio. Or a jackhammer, when all is called for is a screwdriver. Just bear with me. Now, let's pretend you live in the area where said noise is occurring, unnecessarily. You can, if you want, imagine that you have a sick relative, or work nights; or maybe you have a fussy baby; maybe there's been a recent death in your family, and all you want is just a little peace and quiet in the afternoon; maybe you just expect your neighbors to simply be more courteous. The point of it is, you would not like it if there was a loud, totally unnecessary noise in your neighborhood, especially if things were difficult for you right now -- as they are for many, many people in this city.

So, just please hear what I'm saying: the guy does not have to bring his dog around, the way he might have to bring his tool box, or his wallet. For the sake of community, please think about how your actions might affect other people, and maybe try to be just a little quieter. And, the dog will enjoy hanging out at home a lot more, I'm sure.

After a lengthy discussion on SCF, it seems the man with the dog in the cage in the back of the truck has stopped bringing the poor animal around here. We appreciate it, and I'm sure the dog does too. Thanks for your help and cooperation. I hope we can all be better neighbors to one another.

On the Ball you are ridicoulous. He cares about them dogs more than you may know. That dog loves being with him. He would never jeporadize that dog or anyother dog for that matter. If there was something bothering you, you should have asked the man about disturbing u and could he leave the dog at home. But to call animal control and the police, (which I may add-the police asked him about building one on their car at 1 point and i know cause I was there and the police also inquired about purshasing one of my own American Bulldogs). He is not a bad guy and never meant to disturb you. Your untactful ways of handling things got out of hand and because of you...there are animals fighting for their life. Im sure u have more noise in ur neighbor hood than a dog barking, people on street corners all day. loud car radios, motorcycles revving come on now it wasnt that serious. thats whats wrong with our people today, Instead of looking out for one another; we try to bring the next one down. Thats why we dont have what others have; they go above and beyond to help their people, but our people are selfish for reasons of a personal problem with a person, jelousy, hate or whatever it may be. We all need to grow up. If you had a dog and instead of someone coming to u and saying hi excuse me ur dog barks and i cant get no sleep would u mind leaving him home. sure ok. But no u want to try to tear the guy down and his dogs. Now just say ur mess caused the pound to take this dog, he is a grown dog, so NO he wouldn't get adopted out he would b put down. So u would rather the dog b put down then to enjoy a cool day with his owner just because he barks a little to much for u. See I know u dont own animals if u did u wouldnt feel the way u feel. truthfully dogs are considered a mans best friend cause they will never stabb u in the back and they will protect u to the end of time. Unlike people who love to see the next man doing good to take a fall backwards instead of forward. I just want you ON THE BALL to see that this situation could of been handled a whole different way.

Call the ASPCA you can get their number from the phone book or any veterinary hospital. They are very responsive and will act!
