NCPD has done nothing to resolve this issue and NC traffic department is pointing the finger to NCPD. No one is taking responsibility for this Truck route that clearly doesn’t belong in a residential street.
Traffic department needs to make the traffic lights standard operation instead of loop operation. the loop system allows the light to stay green indefinitely there for making the trucks speed up to 80 mph on Mill RD.
If the traffic lights are in standard operation they will automatically regulate the speed of these trucks in a residential street. Post will not be removed until issue is fixed or satisfactory.

I live on the corner of Irvington Street in SouthValley Stream. My bedroom and den are facing Mill road. The noise level of speeding traffic is horendous. Immediately facing my bedroom is a large crack (divet) on Mill road. Between the speeding traffic and the large trucks hitting the crack starting at 6:30 am, the sounds made are so loud and mimic a traffic accident. The speed limit is not being monitored by police and no one is following the speed limit of 30 mph. Another noise complaint is the cars driving past my house blasting their car radio. I can hear that noise as if it were in my own dwelling. How sad, no one is checking this out. This is a grave injustice to the residents. Please look into this matter and I beg you to come up with a resolution. Sincerely, Pat Miele

why wait for a fatality to happen or a truck ending up in my living room to actually make changes. And then having to refer to this post thru news 12?🤔

Still have vehicles speeding due to traffic light loops system. Traffic light at this school zone corner needs to be standard at 20 seconds per side. This will automatically regulate speeding vehicles in the school zone and residents area.
