How difficult would it be to start citing the dealership & enforcing the municipal code?

I personally drove to the location and located two vehicles in the red zone. I contacted the owners of each vehicle and advised them to move and not park in the red zones. Moving forward, members of the traffic unit will continue to monitor the area and enforce accordingly.

In every city I have ever lived in or visited, parking in a red zone results in a massive ticket and being towed. Why is it in Burlingame no parking regulations are enforced apart from expired meters? What does someone have to do to get parking enforcement to actually respond?

One day of calling the owners of illegally parked cars in a red zone clearly is not enough. The dealership has a car in a red zone in front of a hydrant again and there is yet another car parked at the corner of Cadillac and Carolyn.

Would help if the usual “BPD” stencils are actually painted on the red zones. The red zone at that dealership and the ones up and down Carolan are missing it. Wouldn’t solve the entire problem but could command more respect from drivers & complement BPD’s efforts.

An officer just checked the area and no vehicles are in the red zones.
