Thank you for your message. The sidewalk was inspected again, on 2/21/18, and needs replacement. When the DPW Office opens today, I will confirm that 26 North St is on the sidewalk list, and will add a notation that you have made another request for repair/replacement.
Sidewalk work will resume when the weather permits.

The tree at 26 North St is in fair to good condition. The tree can be saved while allowing for the sidewalk to be repaired/replaced. When the Highway Dept addresses the sidewalk, tree roots can be severed along the line between City and private property to alleviate the issue of roots growing into the foundation, without compromising the tree. As Tree Warden I am available to be on site during excavation if Highway has any questions on which roots can be safely removed while still ensuring placement of a new sidewalk. Therefore, this request is being forwarded on to the Highway Dept. Thank you.

The DPW has closed out this ticket and placed the sidewalk repair request in queue for evaluation and correct processing. Thank you for your patience. The DPW receives sidewalk requests city-wide, and when they are closed out here, they have been moved to a master processing point for evaluation, and assignment. They may be addressed in-house, through a contract, or in coordination with other work, such as stump removal. Thank you again!
