A current registration sticker has been applied to this vehicle. Therefore, I understand it probably cannot be "red-tagged".
I am on the fence about closing this issue, as I do understand that there is likely no enforceable violation here considering the registration appears current.
HOWEVER.....the vehicle appears to be inoperative, AND.....in the opinion of neighbors it IS inoperative in the sense that it never moves. Has been there for years with right rear suspension on the ground.
I have heard people say that there is some sort of rule as to how long any vehicle can sit in the same spot on the street, but since it is not a residential zoning issue, I am not educated as to the particulars of any laws or ordinances regarding this.
If there is a provable violation here, I would like to continue to address it. If not, I will close the issue.
Please advise me as to where I may find particular information on rules or ordinances governing vehicles parked on the street in a residential area, so I can be properly educated on this and understand what can or can't be done.
Thanks!!

This vehicle still has obviously never moved. It is still sitting there, bottomed out, looking like junk, clearly inooperable. I do understand that it can't be tagged on a lack of registration basis, as there is a current registration sticker on the license plate.
Is there no other recourse to prevent people from leaving junk cars on the street? I thought there was something that defines how long a vehicle on the street can remain stationary or inoperable, regardless of registration status.
I can't find it in the ordinances.
Please have this vehicle cited if possible, or otherwise further advise with some more comprehensive information beyond a link to city ordinances.

This issue has been HANDLED!! I really want to let the responsible party(s) know that it is noticed and very much appreciated. IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE not only in the appearance of the neighborhood but in the mentality of those residents who would otherwise propagate violations such as these, thereby reducing property values and quality of the neighborhood. .
The car is simply moved onto the driveway now and still looks terrible (much less visible though).....BUT....it is legal and the notion the the resident knows there is resistance to breaking rules and trashing the neighborhood is WAY more important than eliminating the problem itself.
This as well as other issues will be ongoing in this neighborhood and we will continue to address them. The point of this post is to offer a positive comment versus all the complaining it takes to get things handled.
Sincere thanks and appreciation from neighbors who maintain their properties and care.
