Description

For almost 4 years, we have complained and reported an issue with a large tree located directly in front of the main gate entrance of our property. The roots are large, and have bulged out of the ground damaging the side walk. The large roots have been extending underneath the bricks structure leading to our front porch( bricks are cracking and pars of it are no longer flat). We have been continuously tripping on the roots, We have seen people fall in multiple occasions, particularly in winter when the snow covers the sidewalk. After contacting the mayor's office(because we where getting no where with Public works), someone from Public works finally came, and concluded that because the tree was "healthy", it was not necessary to cut it down, despite the damages and dangers it is causing to us, the main street (Parkwood Avenue),and the people walking on that sidewalk. In addition, large branches from the same tree have extended to hovering our property. We have been very frustrated as resident, tax payers, and homeowners. Hopefully, this time this issue will be taken care off for the safety of all people, as well as our property.
Thank you
