So many people walk from the trolley to work, to home, to the bus etc. We need more public trash cans in our neighborhoods and in areas where there are walkers. The trolley and train stops in Clifton Heights need trash cans.

the issue is not just how many trash cans are on corners but its respect. and being held accountable for litering. yes Litering is a crime. if more citations were handed out in the area's where the trash is at its worst. add a few more cans but inforce the use of them. I have literallly witnessed on several occasions. people walk by a trash can only to throw the wrapper or bottle /bag down on the sidewalk or out in the street.

I want BP to fix the leak too.....but people will still trash the planet for they know no better and were never taught about respect..I see them throwing trash out of their cars too. Not a whole lot we can do.

I do agree that there should be public trash cans around. I must be blind because where I live, I must be missing the sign that says : LITTER HERE. I am picking up trash daily because of lazy @#$% who don't know how to stop at a Wawa (for example) to throw out there trash, either it's thrown out of vehicle window or people walking by & dropping trash. If I ever catch someone throwing trash, watch out !
