a lot of people agree with your concern we have the same problem on atwater, chatham, dover,clinton av, grafton try attending the community meetings, your alderman and keep contacting the NHPD thats what we are trying on this side

Front Street is getting speed humps between Lewis and Lombard. There is no reason that Front between Brewery Square nad Grand can't have them as well. City of New Haven?

This town is entertaining sometimes, before we know it 1/2 of New Haven is going to have speed bumps and all the street racers will be driving 4X4s! The bumps help I know but people still try and make a "point" in between the bumps by trying to go as fast as they can so their car will make a cool noise...

We need to figure out ways to teach the youth that there is more to life than loud cars and racing. Many of the kids in my neighborhood live with their parents and spend every last dime they make on having an annoying car.

Speed humps/bumps are not an effective traffic calming measure, true. What they do is stop detrimental, animalistic behavior that greatly affects quality of life. Unfortunately, because of a great many issues, too numerous to enter here, we have animals in our streets that are creating safety and quality of life issues. These will curb that until the social issues can be addressed more effectively.

how about a track on the boulevard , bring revenue to the city and safety to drag racing. food concessions, bleachers , parking lot. think out of the box and stop putting bumps in the road of progress.

That's funny about "kids" like to have loud, annoying cars with loud, annoying sound systems. Either these "kids" are not really kids or they've had a horribly hard life up to this point and just look old LOL. My guess is we're talking about mostly adults with serious maturity issues. Just another reason for NHPD to vigorously enforce traffic and noise laws. They should know better. Actions have consequences.

How many noise enforcement tickets have been given out in Fair Haven since 2010? Would be a good question to ask the City for data on. If you can't measure something, you can't ever improve it.
