Description

There are a lot of activity especially on Ogdens end playground with dog owners and unleashed dog. Problem also exists on Persing filed playground.

As a parent it is less than ideal to share the playground with dog that are not on a leash.

Almost every parent I have met there have had their child step in dog poo at some point, which is unsanitary and a health concern.

One thing is a lose dog another thing is a possible conflict between a parent and a dog owner, if a parent points out the signage and that the dog are not allowed. I have been met with very aggressive responses on several occasions myself.

Unfortunately the signage on the playground itself AND on the entrance doors are not entirely clear. The dog owner seem to think that it is legal to have dogs on the playgrounds.

There are severl 'no dogs allowed' signs inside the playground. However there is also a sign that states that dog owner must clean up after their dogs. Some dog owners seem to think the 'no dogs allowed' signs are being hung up by parents.

I assume it is illegal to have dogs on the playground.
