Description
On my walk thru Edgewood Park today I met Huan Ngo. He lives on the north side of the park. Since November last year he has been spending nice days removing trash along the perimeter of the park as well as the pathways within. Today, policing the steep bank along Chapel Street on the pond side, he collected several large bags garbage people had tossed over the side. During our brief encounter he suggested that the city should actively discourage littering that occurs in the park, particularly along Chapel street, by posting notices warning significant fines for individuals caught littering. I whole-heartedly agree.

Huan, the Friends of Edgewood Park Green Team, the Parks Dept. and college groups regularly pick up trash in that area.

Thanks to all the people who pick up a bag of trash on their walks or when they are at the playground.Littering is such a huge problem in this city.
