I just hit a pothole on Friday during the storm around 6:50pm on Bassett Street & Newhall Street. There are about 2 or 3 just in the central location to which 1 damaged my tire. I waited for New Haven police all night in my car to which they never showed up so I went home. If I lived in New Haven it would have been okay to wait to make a report for a long period of time but I don't. So, unfortunately I was very frustrated because I waited with my young daughter since 8:49pm till 11:30pm to which New Haven police operator called me at 12:38am to say someone is still coming but they can't estimate a time. I told the operator I spoke with someone twice because 2 police cars rode by me as I sat there to my dismay none of them were for me. This was not okay New Haven needs to have a system in place for non emergencies. It would have only took no more than 5 to 10 minutes out of there time. I would have drove to the New Haven police station but the operator told me the wait would be just as long...ridiculous.
