I also get those annoying deliveries of "litter" at the end of my driveway. I suggest we notify the advertisers that we will NOT support them if they continue to litter our neighborhoods !

It's the only way they can provide circulation numbers. The paper is not worth the ink it is written on, and nobody would pay for it. So they inflate the circulation numbers by throwing it on peoples driveway and giving stacks of copies to businesses.

I called the Saratogian and had them stopped.

The morning after I reported this problem, someone from the Saratogian left me a voice mail, apologizing for leaving the paper and he assured me that it would stop. I appreciate this, but it does not fix the underlying problem that compelled me to complain in the first place. Not only is it aggravating to have to pick up that garbage EVERY week- which contributes unnecessary waste to our growing landfills- it consumes resources and energy(and LOTS of ink) to produce and distribute(which further pollutes the environment) All of this because of an UNWANTED, UNSOLICITED distribution of a useless "paper". My husband and I were walking Tuesday night around our neighborhood, and I counted 8 "papers" STILL at the end of peoples driveways. THEY ARE A NUISANCE!!! They should NOT be delivered to peoples homes unless they REQUEST it.(UNLIKELY)....

How difficult is it to pick up this little paper which is nicely wrapped in a pink baggie that you can't possibly miss driving in or out of your driveway. Whether you're new in town or not, the paper acknowledges the local folk and businesses. I for one like the paper. I have lived here 32 years and read things I wasn't even aware of in the village.
