This remains an issue - drivers use the right (ending) lane as a "passing lane". Drivers in the driving (left) lane must be ultra aware of cars speeding up on their right hand side to get ahead of them in the driving lane. The sign warning of the lane merge is hidden by trees and is useless. Menands should: move the sign so it is visible and/or start ticketing drivers who are dangerously speeding and cutting ahead of drivers in the driving (left) lane.
