Description
The evening of March 6th, we hit a 1/4 ft deep pothole on Koppers Road which was extended into the main road. As this is a one way road with incoming traffic on the opposite lane, our only choice was to hit the pothole (instead of the car). This resulted in two flat tires and bent rims. Two other cars experienced the same thing at the same time. Personally, we have had our car into the shop 3 times in 5 weeks - twice for potholes (one in cary and now one in Morrisville) and a construction screw. We are tired of these situations and need action ASAP. DOT and the towns should take financial responsibility in cases where the potholes extend into the road - the size cannot be missed - or try to be more proactive to control construction traffic on roads that cannot support the wear and tear. If you have had an issue and would like to increase community awareness, please email ncpotholes@gmail.com so we can understand how to make this situation better for all drivers in our community. Thanks!
