Thank you for contacting the City of Summit.
We have reviewed your NON-emergency notification. We are prioritizing the work, based on the emergency work load, should the request fall under City jurisdiction.
For tree-related requests, private trees that have fallen on your property are the responsibility of the property owner. For those City trees in the City's Right-Of-Way (ROW), JCPL or the appropriate utility company must remove wires before trees/limbs are taken care of by City staff. Should a private tree/limb fall in the street, the City will assist in removing the portion in the City street.
Just a reminder, if you believe a situation is an emergency, please call 911. SeeClickFix is the City's non-emergency reporting system.
The Department of Community Services (DCS) and its Division of Public Works are working around the clock addressing road and tree hazards that present an imminent danger to the public, in concert with the City's emergency personnel and utility companies. Thank you for your patience.
