The Cal Trans website follows my understanding. It is JOINT JURISDICTION. That means that both agencies are responsible. Calling the Abandonded Vehicle Hotline means you report into a bottomless pit with no feedback. Calling the PD Traffic Division has proven to be even worse. NEVER a human being. No way I would ever call them again.
ALSO: This is N O T an Abandonded Vehicle complaint. It's a violation of large commercial vehicles being allowed to park at will, unattended, upon public highway areas. That is a VMC violation.
Our new city manager's office does not respond to complaints.. at least not to me. Anyone else? Are we supposed to just give in- and give up? I can't help but believe that is what is desired. Go away and let this tow sink even lower and accept that this is the Bay Area DUMPING Ground.

Abandoned cars:
The Police Department, Traffic Division is responsible for handling all abandoned vehicle reports on streets and public property. You can file your report with them by downloading the Vallejo Police Department application on your phone, filing a claim online (http://www.cityofvallejo.net/city_hall/departments___divisions/police/police_online_services/) orby calling the abandoned vehicle hotline (707) 648-4682.
If you have any questions or concerns please call the PD Traffic Division at (707) 648-4329.
Thanks for reporting! This issue is not under the jurisdiction of Vallejo Public Works, and should be addressed by Caltrans. We have forwarded your issue to them. You can follow up with them by calling 916-654-2852. In the future, you can submit a Maintenance Service Request to Caltrans district 4 on their website at http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist4/d4address.htm. Thanks again for using SeeClickFix!

There’s also no truck stops in the area.
Not a word on this posting about all the bums living all over town in Junk RVs, campers and decrepit cars, not to mention the tent encampments and trash everywhere.
I don’t want to hear a word about these guys until ALL vagrant related blight and vehicles are removed.
