All of Warner road is a nightmare! I risk my life every time i pull out of my driveway because of people speeding over the hill! One of the biggest offenders is actually a warner road resident.

I agree. I live on Colonial Heights Road and we use that intersection every day. So dangerous with all the Tilcon trucks and now the school buses. I have complained to the current and past mayor of East Haven, who coincidently lives around the corner from this dangerous intersection of Warner & Half Mile. Nothing has been done. I have come so close to head on collisions with oncoming trucks/buses who don't realize how narrow that curve is. You have to practically scrape your car against the rocks/brush to avoid oncoming traffic. Please do something before there is a terrible accident!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an awful street. I travel it every day myself and I have come close many times to head on collisions with Tilcon trucks, cars and now school buses. It is a very dangerous curve. Why doesn't the town widen it?????? Are they waiting for a terrible accident to happen before they do?? I cannot believe nothing is done about this. Who do we have to go to next? The state rep? The governor? Please do something!!!!!!!!!!

I agree! This whole street is a nightmare! I pass the intersection you are writing about every day. I have come close many days to hitting oncoming traffic head on there! The town really needs to widen it! Is East Haven just waiting for an accident to happen there??? You would think East Haven has had enough publicity in the news lately for negativity!!!! DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS AWFUL INTERSECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK. There was just another accident at this intersection today. The car was almost hit head on by an incoming truck with a plow attached, who didn't realize the road was so narrow and curved. Trying to swerve out of his way, He hit a parked car and damaged the front of that vehicle. Luckily he only has a few scratches but his car did not. It needed to be towed. There was still ice and snow on the road, which did not help the situation. That person was very lucky. It could have been much worse. I only wonder how many more accidents have to happen on this dangerous road in order for someone in this town or even state to do something about it!!!! I am so tired of writing to the mayor of East Haven. I also wrote to Len Fasano. He said it is not a state road and could not do anything about it. PLEASE do something about widening this road! It is a main road from Middletown Avenue (Route 17) to Route 22. It is used by the huge Tilcon trucks and also school buses daily. Is this town just waiting for a much worse accident to happen where no one just walks away with small cuts and bruises!! I am so tired of waiting for someone to do something!!!!!!!!!!

Now that we have a new Mayor in East Haven, let's see what he can do about this outstanding issue. Please Mayor Maturo do something about this road!!!!!!

I live in the vicinity and have to travel either Half Mile Road or Warner Road to get home. I agree with all the other posters about the need for widening the road. There should also be a mirror installed in the interim. I always hug the right side of the road and slow to a crawl since i know the road and how dangerous it is. I have almost been hit head on no less than a half dozen times in the last couple of years. I also wonder if the large commercial vehicles can use a different route since the roads obviously aren't meant to accommodate such vehicles.

I actually had to stop & pull partially into someone's driveway to allow a dually truck to pass because the road is so narrow earlier this week. There was also a horrible accident several months back in the same spot everyone's complaining of where a car hit a tree and the road was closed. Something needs to be done in this area and I think the commercial trucks should be made to find an alternate route in this very residential area.

This issue has been on this board for over 1000 days and STILL nothing has been done about it! I guess I will have to wait until the next Mayor of East Haven gets in and try to have him do something because no one else seems to care!!

Still nothing done about this issue. Still close call accidents. Still no response from anyone. What a shame. All of our taxpayer dollars. Still a more serious accident waiting to happen at this intersection. Is that what unfortunately has to happen for anyone to do something???? Winter is coming AGAIN with snow and ice around this bend......HELLO?? Maybe a new mayor in EH will take the initiative and fix this?? I'll keep waiting and praying everytime I go down this road.

Ridiculous that EH Mayor or Public Works are not doing anything about this terrible street!

OK. This complaint has been outstanding for over 4300 days. Now East Haven has a new Mayor, Joe Carfora. Maybe he will do something about this awful road? Please before another terrible accident happens. This curve is very dangerous! Summer is here. Kids will be out on motorcycles, quads, etc. It need to fixed ASAP!
