Description
the parking situation and traffic at the school is getting out of hand.
I just drove by and there were 8 cars parked on the side of the road in front of the no parking signs, people are cutting off traffic while leaving the school and I had a parent step out from between 2 illegally parked cars in front of me, causing me to hard brake and she then berated me because "this is a school zone".
the situation gets corrected and then within a couple of weeks it is back to bad traffic jams caused by illegal parking and bad driving.

I just drove by again today (3/22) at 3:00 PM. THere are 5 cars parked on the school side of the street in front of the no parking signs.
They seem to think if they put their hazzrd lights on it is OK to park there.
THere were at least 4 people wearing what I assume is official crossing guard / school police gear (2 carrying stop signs) and they just watch people pull up and park.
The last school bus to pull in is hanging out into the roadway because there is not enough space in the bus pickup area.
The whole situation caused a backup along N/Quincy back past Court St. intersection.
When they built this school, they did so with a huge driveway that wraps around the entire building and a parking lot in the rear, these should be used for no bussing activities instead of allowing everyone to block public access to a public road. There should be no dropping off or picking up of children on the roadway in front.
I'm sorry if it is more inconvenient for the parents, but inhibiting use of the road is very inconvenient for those of us that drive for a living.

as the cars exit from the south exit which states right turn only -(that seems to be why they all sit at the front cuz they don't want to have to take the right and face the light ,..when the majority need to go left. Which makes the traffic flow safer and sensibly manageable for everyone. Keep up the great job school enforcement; )
