I drove by there the other day to reflex on all the happy times I had there, just as it was finished and open to the public they had a week of open house where you could walk around the brand new facility. They were handing out difference adverting items, balloons, pencils, rulers etc. I got a ruler and I also found $15.00 in the bathroom, I was wild 15 year old little boy when it open. I remember the Who, Led Zeppelin, Elvis, Bee Gees, and of course the Lions just to mention a few. I also remember when they were ready to blow up HILL 90. HILL 90 was our motorcycle hill it was a hill that had a 90o angle to climb. Several people including several friends of mine were there to protest the implosion of the hill so they could begin construction of the silver dome. State police and the local police were there to stop us and of course they exploded the hill. I must say as I sat in my car looking at the grounds now it looks just like it did over 35 years ago, it actually brought tears to my eyes to see the Silver dome gone, with all the memories I have of the The DOME its so hard to see it go...... I think I'm going to write a book
