Thank you for reporting your issue/request to the Howard County Department of Public Works. Responded to DPZ informing them that Morris St is considered to be a low-speed, local access road within an urban residential environment where it is typical to notice residents parking on the street similar to other access roads within the neighborhood. Traffic does not recommend eliminating on street parking along one side of the roadway at this time. However, Traffic will continue to work with the community at locations where on street parking will be restricted, such as at locations around a curve or at driveway alleys to provide acceptable corner sight distances. Residents are encouraged to contact the Maple Lawn HOA who maybe able to publish a newsletter encouraging residents to utilize their off street parking facilities.
