But once you get beyond the field, hold on to your hats because it is not unusual for drivers to go at least 55 mph on Farm Hill. I agree that stopping to chat impedes traffic, but suggesting that 35 mph on this street makes sense still exceeds the posted speed. Besides very few people, I'm sure, drive under 35 on this street.

Perhaps drivers are so annoyed at having to wait while cars ahead of them stop and stay still in the middle of the road that they speed the rest of the way out of frustration.

25 mph is the posted limit. I have done RADAR and LASER enforcement on this street for fifteen years and believe me slow drivers are not the problem. If you are unhappy with 25 mph contact the traffic control commission and get it raised instead of posting here.

I am so glad someone else noticed that the basketball players fail to make the "basket" when it comes to their beverage bottles and food wrappers! And mostly, it's young men who come to this neighborhood, use the court, and show no respect for the grounds. Bend over and pick up your trash.

The parking area is often littered, too. There is a group whose name I can't remember that cleans it up each week. Thanks to them.

Raise the speed limit? You know that excessive speed is the issue here. The police dept. has been notified many times about speeding on Farm Hill. What good has come of your 15 years of efforts? Drivers simply don't care. I hope it won't take a fatality to get real results.

This complaint has much more to do with idiots stopping in the middle of the road next to the fields. They're a menace.
