Surf shop now stores stuff on it's north side on the city sidewalk. It junks up the 'hood. May I store my old canoe on this public sidewalk?

Not to mention you have to practically pull out into 4th St from 11th Ave in order to look for northbound traffic because of their sidewalk junk. I've nearly lost the front end of my car on many occassions.

This is the start of another weekend dealing with the surf shop. Flags and merchandise stored on the city side walks and right-of-way, blocking line of sight for traffic, a real safety issue.

This has been reported MULTIPLE TIMES TO CODES ENFORCEMENT BY PHONE. No action has ever been taken - - or they would NOT continue to do this! What's it going to take???

It's about staying on top of him. He had to remove stuff a little over a year ago as there were too many complaints, I've notices recently it's slowly starting to become hazardous again.

A NEW LAW is not needed. What IS needed is ENFORCEMENT by Codes Enforcement. The last co nversation I had w/ the supervisor was all about what a pain it is to get anywhere w/ the tenant - Mister Reno. SO -- they went after the property owner for fines / liens over their old busted-up sign which sat on the 11th Ave side for at least TWO years. This is a matter of 'will' on the part of Codes Enforcement! GET INSPECTORS OUT THERE ON THE WEEKENDS WHEN THIS OCCURS - - ALONG WITH TWO POLICE TEAMS.... AND SETTLE THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL!

WE HAVE MORE THAN HAD IT WITH THIS BUSINESS OWNER'S DISREGARD FOR THE CODE THAT ALLOWS HIM TO OPERATE... AND ALSO RESPECT THE RESIDENTS WHO LIVE HERE.
