I agree about the horrible conditions of our state's capital roads and streets. I moved to Trenton to be close to my work place and be able to avoidd dep- ending on the daily use of handicap transportation twice every workday. As a motorized wheelchair passenger in the wheelchair vans we endure "double bumps" because the first bump the van hits we all are tossed around and as the wheelchair is tossed the passenger goes up and down again from the first jolt. I thank the lord for this transportation service and the drivers do their best, but the streets are so awful with the pot holes and such it makes it just about impossible to avoid being jarred around. On a low pain day, all the jolts still hurts some passengers but when our arthritis or other ailments are on the rise, our pain level zooms to the high side of the pain scale. It can be so bad for some; you can't help but cry out in pain. My knuckles turn white from holding on so tightly to the arm rails of my chair to help minimize the jolts that causes the pain. We all know too well that money is scarce even though NJ has the nation's HIGHEST property tax level. Money has been misappropriated for so long, the sweetheart deals are just part of doing business here. Our politicians cost us dearly and it is just so “Matter of fact” they have become oblivious to how residents suffer because of their inactions and unnecessary spending. Every elected state legislator drives on Trenton's streets to get to the statehouse. Have they become so callous and disinterested in our lives that no one is taking any action to improve this mess? Now we have a brand new mayor maybe we should oust the incumbents who are a big part of the problem if they do not become part of the solution. Remember, “People First?” That is not what most people on the street see. (Maybe that is because they are busy watching for the next pothole to avoid)

This problem still exist. Get on the ball Trenton.

I see that they are working on S Broad St. But We will see if they finish the job. I hope so because the street is so so terrible. Like I say put the taxpayers money to work....

The work on Broad st has nothing to do with Trenton. If you notice, the repair work STOPS at the Hamilton-Trenton border. Tony Mack is NOT fixing the city streets!!

You might be right. But I can always hope to see some improvement for Trenton streets. S Broad St. is so horrible. To be one of the main streets that I have been on, some of the taxes should at least go to fixing up Trenton's streets. To be the capital of NJ it is saying a lot of how we put our tax money to work.... Trenton's streets are the worst....
