Gas Station received approval in February 2009 to a complete renovation. I contacted the applicant to see if those plans are still in the works.

Thanks for the info. I did access that posting about the renovation. Renovation is great, but maintenance is needed after the renewal. There is no excuse for two-year-old grafitti on that building, litter, overgrown strips of weeds and grass, etc.

This station is now closed; weeds fill the grassy strips that border the property. The years-old graffiti still greets drivers heading up Farm Hill Rd. from South Main Street. It's so unfortunate and unfair that the owners of the property don't care to maintain it and that the city has no blight law or the will to address this issue as an eyesore.

This property has been closed for months. More graffiti has appeared, and the surrounding strips of grass are overgrown with weeds a foot or more high. A black garbage bag has lain there since Jan. I could go on, but I wonder what it takes to remedy this situation.

The city wants to improve the entrances to our town? Well, this shabby sight that one traveling into town on Rte. 17. It's time to hold the owners responsible.
